It's been a long time since I updated this website.
I guess that's because I haven't been
inspired to create any artwork lately. I've been very busy. I am going full
time to school,
SAN DIEGO CITY COLLEGE. You
gotta love a college that only costs $18 per credit.
Plus, most of the professors are really good. Some even teach classes at the
more expensive
universities at the same time as teaching at City.
I decided to major in Microbiology.
Specifically, I want to be a virologist
(study diseases and their cures).
You might think that is a strange choice, considering my passions are art
and writing. There are several
reasons I chose Microbiology instead of art or writing: the most important
reason is that I have tendonitis
and repetitive strain injury in both of my arms, so I can't do repetitive
motions with my upper limbs. The
work as a microbiologist would be varied enough that I shouldn't have too
much of a problem. Second,
Microbiology offers a more stable income with more earning potential. San
Diego has a HUGE biotech
industry. Now, another reason, which is a not-so-obvious reason, is that microbiology
does involve
creativity but of a different kind. Some of the greatest scientists in our
history were creative thinkers. I
also love a challenge and love to use my gray matter.
So, school is going pretty good. Grades are good, the only bad thing is that
I am so stressed out
because I am a perfectionist. *Must get an A. Must get an A. Must have a 4.0*
Check out the movie section, I've been watching/renting/buying
a lot of movies and would LOVE to
subject you to my opinion!
I hope to get back to painting/writing/sculpting/creating after school ends
in the end of May. Just too
stressed to do it until then. But check back, I will try to update this website
until then.
